Relock Function: Driver's door relocks on all compatible cars, but passenger side and rear door locking varies.

△ Only relocks on vehicles with SMART Keyless, not on vehicles with a wireless key.

N1 AURIS Model 120T (NRE185H, APR. 2015 and newer) is NOT compatible.

N2 AUG.17, 2015 & newer Land Cruisers are NOT compatible because they have factory installed Speed-Lock.

N3 Fully compatible with or without Radar Cruise, but make sure the model YEAR matches your car.

N4 Sept. 2017 & newer Land Cruiser Prado vehicles are NOT compatible because they have factory installed Speed-Lock.

PLEASE NOTE: Even though a vehicle is shown in the table above, some special configurations may not be compatible, and vehicles sold outside Japan that have been changed for markets outside Japan may not be compatible. Also, WELCAB series vehicles for the disabled have not been confirmed by us and may or may not be compatible.

Revised: February 25, 2021

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • RELOCK function: While the gear in the "D" (drive) position and when Unlocked by the Driver's door switch, doors will Relock immediately only if the vehicle speed is 20km/h (12.4mph) or higher. This makes it convenient to stop and pick-up passengers. Note that if your car has SMART keyless, all doors will relock, but if your car has only a basic wireless key, the △ marks in the Compatibility table above show you doors that won't relock.

  • Emergency Unlock function: Rapid deceleration (usually caused by braking hard) will result in the doors being auto Unlocked 9 seconds later. However, doors will be Relocked when the vehicle speed is 20km/h (12.4mph) or faster.

  • Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) function (SL30T ONLY!): ESS is a safety feature of the SL30T that flashes your vehicle's Hazard Lamps when rapid deceleration of 9m/s2 (e.g., hard braking) is detected while you are driving 55km/h* (+/- 3km/h) or faster. When ESS triggers, the Hazard lights will flash at 3Hz (180 times per minute). Hazards will continue to flash until vehicle deceleration drops to 3m/s2* or less (i.e., when you ease off the brake). *Varies slightly by vehicle weight.

  • The SL30T & SL50V are NOT compatible with 2018 and newer cars that have Toyota T-Connect and/or DCM wireless features. Also note that the SL30T & SL50V were discontinued on Dec. 17, 2020 and are replaced by the SL70VG or SL90TG, both of which are fully compatible with T-Connect & DCM. We also offer a reprogramming service that may interest you.

  • The SL30T/SL50V is a product that merely assists with locking and unlocking doors.

  •  The SL30T/SL50V reads vehicle speed using the vehicle's CAN-BUS (computer). The speed read by CAN-BUS may differ slightly from the speed you see on the Speedometer.

  • We do not recommend use of the SL30T/SL50V when you have other companies' OBD devices attached to your car because there could be a data conflict. Some 3rd party OBD devices so overly talkative on the CAN bus that they may cause problems with our OBD devices. Conversely, our CAN devices will NOT cause problems for third party OBD devices. You are welcome to install the SL30T/SL50V along side other KIRAMEK OBD products, such as the VISION 1480 & SCIBORG 540H series CAN-BUS security systems.

  • In some rare cases, brief noise may appear on your automotive TV. Such is caused by your vehicle's door lock motors, not by the SL30T/SL50V.

  • As you may expect, in the case of a severe car accident, the SL30T/SL50V may not be able to Unlock doors due to vehicle electrical or mechanical failure.

  • Our company, of course, does not accept any liability whatsoever for car accidents, or theft or vandalism, whether the SL30T/SL50V is functional in the vehicle or not.

  • Manual Transmission (MT) vehicles are NOT SUPPORTED.

  • Even if your vehicle is listed on our compatibility chart, the SL30T/SL50V may malfunction or not work at all if the vehicle manufacturer has made even a minor change to the vehicle (e.g., a change to the body computer data that does not alter the car's model number).

  • The SL30T/SL50V will Auto Lock doors whenever the vehicle speed is 20km/h or faster. And assuming you have not yet returned the gear to the "P" position, if you Unlock by the Driver's Side switch, the doors will Relock whenever the vehicle speed is 20km/h or faster.

  • We have not confirmed compatibility for any "WELCAB" vehicles which are designed for caregivers and the disabled. The SL30T/SL50V may or may not function properly in those vehicles.

  • Engine Starters & Turbo Timers are NOT SUPPORTED because the SL product will Unlock doors when the engine is started.
