If your vehicle has a keyless entry system that allows you to Lock & Unlock only when pressing a button on your factory remote -- meaning, you cannot Lock or Unlock by a mere touch of the outside door handle -- your vehicle does not have a "SMART keyless" system and therefore your vehicle is not in danger of being unlocked by Relay Attack. Only SMART keyless systems are vulnerable to Relay Attacks. SMART Keyless systems allow you to Lock and Unlock by touching the outside door handle while the keyless fob is in your pocket. Our pouch protects vehicles with SMART keyless systems.
Our pouch was designed to be very compact which means not all SMART fobs fit. The internal size of the back RF blocking pocket is approximately 83x55mm (3 1/4" x 2 1/6"). If your bare fob is close to 80mm (3 1/7") in length it probably will not fit, depending on how thick it is. Key cards that are approximately 80mm long fit fine, albeit tightly, because they are very thin (4mm or so). In our testing, most Toyota fobs fit. A typical Toyota fob that measures 67x38x16mm/2.6x1.5x0.6" fits easily. However, we have received reports that fobs included with recent Bentley cars will not fit due to their length and thickness. Please consider the size of your fob versus pocket size prior to purchase.
Only the back pocket of the pouch offers RF blocking. Make sure to insert your vehicle's SMART keyless fob or keycard only in the back pocket, then securely snap the flap closed. If the button-flap is not securely snapped shut, or if your fob or keycard protrudes from the back pocket, radio signal blocking cannot be ensured.
Never put anything other than a single bare key fob or single bare bare keycard in the back pocket. If you have your keyless fob on a keychain with even a single metal key and you insert both fob and key into the back pocket, over time the metal key could rub against the RF blocking mesh to such an extent that the mesh might be damaged, thereby opening a window to RF radio waves. In addition, never insert both a fob and a keycard at the same time since the tight fit would put undue pressure on the keycard and possibly bend and damage it over time.
Never put a credit card, debit card or similar in the front pocket when you have a keyless fob in the back pocket. Doing so would cause the cards in the front pocket to bend to such an extent that the cards could be damaged.
The pouch is not waterproof. Never immerse in water. Light rain or brief sprinkles of water on the outside of the pouch will not damage it, but we recommend you quickly wipe off the water with a clean, dry cloth to avoid waterspots.
It is safe to clean the outside with a very slightly damp cloth, but do not allow water to get inside the pouch. Never wash in water. Never use strong chemicals (409, etc.) to clean the pouch, as they may discolor the black finish.
Never leave your pouch in direct sunlight for extended periods as such may discolor the black finish and red stitching.
We make our best effort to craft each product to look the same, but because our pouch is assembled by hand, the product you receive may look very slightly different than the photos on this page.
No product lasts forever but careful use can extend the life of the pouch. Repeated bending, scuffing on rough surfaces, repeated exposure to moisture and/or oil, dirt and grime can quickly mar the appearance of your pouch or even cause the leather to break down. We also advise against leaving the pouch in direct contact with plastic bags or metal parts for long periods because the black finish of the pouch may partly affix to those surfaces and become blemished when removed.
Included window stickers cannot be reissued or exchanged. Two of the four stickers display Japanese text.

Our pouch was designed specifically to prevent Relay Attacks by blocking electromagnetic RF waves to and from a vehicle's SMART keyless remote, preventing illicit door unlocking by thieves. The pouch is not designed to block magnetic fields so if you attempt to use this pouch for something other than its intended purpose, such as to block data transfer in a passive, near-field, magnetically-coupled system, our pouch may not provide satisfactory blocking for that use case. Please use our pouch to thwart Relay Attacks.
